Custom Antibiotic Panels
We offer custom antibiotic panels for the purpose of assessing bacterial susceptibility to antibiotics. We currently offer 19 different antibiotics that can be tested at multiple concentrations enabling the determination of the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of each antibiotic. Antibiotics are provided in a dry format arrayed in flat bottomed 96 plate and simply require the addition of culture media inoculated with a bacterial sample of interest. Antibiotic resistance as indicated by bacterial growth can by assessed by turbidity (OD600) or by colorimetric methods with a compatible spectrophotometer plate reader.

Growth Indicator
Resazurin may be used to detect viable metabolically active cells via production of NADPH in the Citric Acid Cycle. The intensity of the fluorescence is proportional to the number of living cells and is sensitive enough to detect as low as 80 viable cells. The fluorescence signal may be detected and analyzed by a fluorescence plate reader.
