Cell Buster is a lysis solution containing chaotropic salts for the purpose of denaturing proteins and aids the binding of nucleic acid to silica. This is a supplemental reagent to be used in conjunction with other reagents for the isolation of nucleic acids (RNA and/or DNA) from bacterial, fungal, or human cells as well as viral particles.
